Commands P - T

Pxx Pitch Sweep (linear) ABC-- Pattern/Table

Sweeps the pitch of the current note, XX controls direction and speed.

01 - 7F sweep up, slowest to fastest

FF - 80 sweep down, slowest to fastest

Note: the pitch sweep for Pxx is roughly linear so you should get the same rate of change in all octaves. This is in contrast to the other sweep command, Sxx which is a non-linear sweep.

Note: the Instrument parameter PSWEEP-Q affects this command. The lower the PSWEEP-Q setting, the slower and more 'steppy' the sweep will be.

Track E: when used on Track E, this command sets the Playback Pitch (PT) for the sample.

Qxx Pitch Sweep Quality ABC-- Pattern/Table

Overrides the current Instrument's PSWEEP-Q setting.

As mentioned several times throughout the manual, 'PWEEP Q' influences several synthesis effects:

  • the speed and smoothness of pitch sweeping and slide (Lxx)
  • the speed of the arpeggio for the Chord command (Cxx)
  • the speed and smoothness of Vibrato

Rxx Repeat Note ABCDE Pattern/Table

Causes the current note to be repeated at a rate determined by XX. 00 is off, FF is fastest. The repeating will continue until a new note, until a Kill command (Kxx) or until another Repeat command!

Sxx Pitch Sweep (non-linear) ABC-- Pattern/Table

Sweeps the pitch of the current note, XX controls direction and speed.

01 - 7F sweep up, slowest to fastest

FF - 80 sweep down, slowest to fastest

Note: the pitch sweep for Sxx is non-linear so higher the octave the faster the perceived pitch change over time. This is in contrast to the other sweep command, Pxx which is a (roughly) linear sweep.

Note: the Instrument parameter PSWEEP-Q affects this command. The lower the PSWEEP-Q setting, the slower and more 'steppy' the sweep will be.

Track E: when used on Track E, this sets the Start Offset (ST) for the sample.

Txx Detune ABC-- Pattern/Table

Overrides the current Instrument's DETUNE setting. This is a constant that is added to the output pitch, positive (01 to 7F) or negative (FF to 80).
